Shrimp Burgers, Fancy Roosters & Dairy Queen Here I Come
I'm on my way to the Outer Banks in NC, in 12 hours! For those of you who aren't from the South, I thought I'd give you a sneak peak of what's in store for me:
- Shrimp Burgers – Not so sure about this? Stay tuned on twitter & I'll post some picks of this deep fried delicacy!
- Fancy Roosters – My mom's neighbor raises fancy roosters. What's so "fancy" about roosters? Find out HERE.
- Bojangles – For those of you unfamiliar with this mecca of fried chicken, biscuits & sweet tea, let's just say I love it so much that my mom smuggled some onto the airplane on her last visit.
Proof:
- Big Oak BBQ – The Big Oak is a place like no other & a place where you can get the previously mentioned shrimp burgers!
- Dairy Queen – How I love you… let me count the ways. I will be hitting DQ nightly — not negotiable.
- Taking pictures with Vania & Mom in Beaufort, NC, a town that reminds Margie & I of Gatlin from BEAUTIFUL CREATURES.
- Dinner with the mayor of Atlantic Beach, and the owner of the famous Amos Mosquitoes! This is a first. Vlog to come…
- Making Toll House Cookie Pie. Watch a vlog of me making it HERE.

Ok, now I want to visit NC!!! And SC, and all the other South States… Thanks to you, my next backpack trip to the US will probably be down there! Have a wonderful time… :)

Those houses almost look like rainbow row in South Carolina! It’s 8 in the morning and I now have a hankering for fried chicken…mmmm. Hope you had fun on tour!
